Kindly remember, Your Comments should not be in the way of HURTING (Comparison or any bad words) the Lecturers, Professors or College Management. This website is intend to give complete legal way of asking for justice or fighting for your Rights. Your comment may be deleted if found as such without intimation.

For long time education is converted into Business, which has Zero % Quality of Service. Its not at all wrong as a Customer (Student) of Anna University, to host a Debate here to collect all your Reviews. Its not 1999 or earlier, we are in the year 2009 where many people aware about internet. This is the right time to bring this Pathetic situation for a DEBATE ONLINE. I bought a 4 year course package from a college which is Affiliated by Anna University. It seems today’s best hassle free business is Constructing and Administering a College. Where many college administration have very less care about the Quality of Education in Tamilnadu.

This article is to get an answer for these questions:

1. Does Anna University really care about QoS in their Affiliated Colleges ?

2. Are they conducting frequent or 6 months once, an Auditing or Quality Assessments in the colleges which they gave affiliation(just the water, toilets and some basic needs that has to be there for the student who is paying atleast a lakh rupees per year) ?

3. Its all about Money ? Whoever builds a 3 floor building can get Anna University Affiliation ?

4. Why sudden Disaffiliation on colleges which they already Affiliated by their Policies and Conditions ?

5. Why there is not much updates in the syllabus (almost for the past 5 to 6 years) to meet the current trend and technology ?

6. Does colleges really conducting proper interview today to fill the lecturer requirements or just an interview ?, ofcourse anna university have the sole responsibility of setting up certain qualities (not just the B.E or M.E) that helps the student to see some changes after 3 or 4 years from the day they joined under AU Affiliation ?

7. Its a Business now… why students are not asking for the quality of the product ? or is that the marks that are stopping them to ask for their rights ? (If i bought a mobile from ABC Company then i normally look for the customer support and product quality. If they fail to provide the quality, then i will surely sue the concern organization. I hope every customer feel to do the same…) Will Consumer Court accept if i don’t get satisfaction in my Education Product ?

8. Education industry today (especially colleges) are Multi Crore Business Zone where within the Admission period itself college bank accounts filled with Crores of ruppees. (To the College Managements: Are you people ready to deny this statement ?, I must ask this as my father pay’s his Hard Earned Money.)

9. Even though the student spend 2 lakh ruppees and + per year the college is not even providing a water doctor facility in each floor of the building. ( Why is that so ? Shortage of Money ?)

10. No proper bills provided to the students in many colleges for the payments they make in between a semester. I get bills only for the AU Semester Exam Registration. Other than that its tough process to get the bills in hand.

11. Will Anna University interfere in Policies that are in place with the colleges affiliated to Anna University which of course affect the students (Different Formulas in each college for calculating the Internal Marks are ruining the student’s). Its not just mobile phone and jeans Banning. The university which cares much on Mobile and Jeans wear Banning should also look at the basic parameters that lets the buyer (student) of the course package to obtain the degree successfully ?

12. There is a counseling method in the colleges where student have the rights to convey their problems that have with the subjects and academic related stuffs. However if a student complained about a staff then its viewed seriously and the power of concern staff shown in the Internal Marks of the student (Which is more than a Politician.. ) So called rights to speak .. is this the real counseling ? The student really dont know the Escalation Matrix whenever a problem he found in the teaching system of the college.. It will be really effective if AU or concern college Management take care of guiding such complaining procedures..

13. Being strict will never help the students to attain the knowledge between it increases the STRESS and DEPRESSION level in a student mind which affects his health too. Students are not superiors to you (lecturers). Just think for a minute then you will realize that you are shouting and ordering the one who is totally defenseless and vulnerable to the real world life scenario.

14. Parents look at the Percentage of Company recruitment’s in the Brochure to pick the best college to admission their sons/daughters. Listing the BPO Jobrecruitment’s in the placements list should be Banned. The student who studyB.E Professional Course after attending several levels of fixed interview patterns (like Aptitude Test, Technical Assessments, HR and few other) don’t need to work in the area of simply attending the incoming and outgoing calls. Because there is no such syllabus in Anna University to attend Phone Calls.

15. Disaffiliation on Colleges: PMR Engineering College and JA Engineering College students already had their worst time. The Question is Who could be Next ?. This portraits an absolute careless affiliation policy in Anna University.

16. Is there any team available in Anna University Campus to Audit the Quality in their Affiliated Colleges ? If Yes, what are they doing ? Why cant they visit to the colleges exist in their list to see whether students who paid to Anna University with the sole trust on them are satisfied with the policies, rules and services or not ?

17. My aim is not to say that Anna University provides nothing to me.. It is all about the way of deployment. The process of announcing Workshops, Seminars and Communication Laboratories must be appreciated. At the same time, why they are not effective ?

18. The University that orders the class sessions must be in english is not at all auditing whether the lecturers and students are comfort and capable with it ? Just ordering is meaning less….

19. Its one of the business as i said before.. so its not the matter of staff and student relation ship anymore (i feel bad to say its no more … ) where you may feel it and see it in school days.. not in colleges. The high speed track that consumes more money of our parents and when we see it gives nothing in terms of Knowledge and Self Development it must be viewed as Pathetic.

20. The Anna University Campus in Chennai is a culture improved and assures the Attitude, Technical and all other growth that a student can have today. Why not even the 70 % care even not shown on the people who are paying money in different districts in Tamil Nadu to get the degree?

The management is not checking the Communication strength (which is very important for a lecturer) even while recruiting. This straightly affects the students who are trying to learn some words and sentences from those staffs during their lectures. If they form the sentence in a wrong fashion or mispronounced as per their convenience then the student does the same mistake till he reaches the interview panel with some companies.

Attitude:

I believe attitude of a person decides everything in his / her life. Even though they get 100 % in their academics its impossible to survive in the companies if they have attitude problems. The Lecturers have to behave in the fashion of bringing an attitude that helps the student to make further steps in their life (Politeness and Peace). Its all about survival in this globe today.. Maximum students are literally unprepared to face the real world challenges which could mislead their path if they dont know how to react in certain tough situations.

Its time for your comments. Lets make this as a Debate and share your ideas. Also send the title and the link of this post to your friends to let them participate in too.

The Tesla supercomputer, designed by US-based company NVIDIA, is priced from Rs 288,000 to Rs 576,000 (4,000-8,000 pounds), and looks much like your ordinary PC.

According to scientists, the new machine will revolutionise the way researchers and medical professionals carry out their work. For instance, it will allow doctors to process the results of brain and body scans much more quickly and tell patients within hours whether they have a tumour.

World’s first ‘personal supercomputer’

David Kirk, the chief scientist at NVIDIA, said in a statement: “Pretty much anything that you do on your PC that takes a lot of time can be accelerated with this. These supercomputers can improve the time it takes to process info by 1,000 times.”

“If you imagine it takes a week to get a result (from running an experiment), you can only do it 52 times a year. If it takes you minutes, you can do it constantly, and learn just as much in a day.”

Scientists say that the machine can help researchers discover cures for diseases, such as cancer and malaria, much more quickly than using traditional research methods.

This is because the device lets them run hundreds of thousands of simulations to create a shortlist of the drugs that are most likely to offer the potential for a cure

Walled Gardens

You are probably a light user of a social networking site, whether you know it or not. MySpace, Facebook, Twitterare all examples of this type of site. Some of these types of sites are also called walled gardens. In this case, a walled garden is a social site that lets you use all of its profiling and networking features, often for free, but will not let you ‘share’ any of the data you generate on the site with other social sites.

A good example of a walled garden site is Facebook. Up until recently, anything you did on Facebook, like filling out surveys or making new friends, stayed on Facebook. If you got tired of the service, found something new, or just want to back up the information you may have spent hours putting together, you couldn’t.

Social Network Connections

However, in the past few months there has been a big push toward finding ways for these types of sites (often called social media sites) to start working together. There are a number of clear benefits for this to happen:

Single sign-on: If you have an established profile with a site, you can use that logon on a different site that ‘trusts’ the site you signed up with.

Reduce redundancy: You can spend a couple of hours putting together your profile, friend links, links to favorite sites, etc. These things are called your social graph. By having a network of trusted sites, you potentially only have to enter all of this information once.

Increased exposure for new social networks: New sites offering a new feature or tool quickly becomes exposed through your network of friends. If someone tries the service and likes it, they can ‘flag’ the new site as beneficial, and that advice will be communicated through the network.

More direct control over the information you present: By giving YOU the ability to choose where you profile is exposed, and how it is exposed, gives you more control of how you present yourself. A single social site may only allow you to control this information a certain way. However, if that site isn’t the only one requesting that information, they no longer have the final say how it is presented.

Google Friend Connect

Toward this goal, Google has their own entry, called Friend Connect. Google has had this utility in a closed beta for a while now, but recently has opened it up for anyone to try it out.

Google has a unique perspective in this space, since they didn’t originate as a single social network (although they have one in the form of Orkut). Instead, they thought about how they could enable almost anyone who runs a blog to almost instantly make that blog ‘social network enabled.’ That’s where Friend Connect comes in.

Does everyone have to sign up for Friend Connect? No. If you have a blog that you control directly (so WordPress.com and LiveJournal are a no go for now, we’ll see about Blogger as it is owned by Google too), then you can go ahead and sign up and follow the simple instructions. However, if you simply are a user of social networks and Google products, you don’t have to do anything except visit a blog that already has Friend Connect installed.

When you do, you will find a small Friend Connect widget (a small information box) that will offer to let you add the site you are on to your list of favorite sites using your Google login. You can also find other people using Friend Connect and indicate that they are friends of yours.

That’s it, in a nutshell. Simple, but a very powerful concept.

More In Store

Of course, if that was all there was too Friend Connect, it would be pretty boring. To Google, Friend Connect is a platform. That is to say, new applications can be built on Friend Connect and sites participating in the program can pick and choose between which apps they want to use. Google has already developed a couple of Friend Connect-aware apps, called Wall andFeedback.

Wall is a small app that lets you leave messages and links to YouTube videos (another Google property) on a site. Other folks can reply to your message. Also, those messages go in to your social graph, so you can see where you’ve left messages later.

Feedback is fairly self-explanatory. It will show up at the end of articles or on web sites that want you to leave feedback on the site’s presentation or quality of its articles, etc. This widget also leverages the power of Friend Connect to show where you have left feedback, and when.

More applications are in development. And knowing Google, an open framework will be revealed that will allow anyone to develop new ways of leveraging the power of Friend Connect across all participating sites.

More Information

Google has helpfully provided a new help site to answer any question might have on Friend Connect. It can be found here.

The mission has the right instruments for analyzing soil and ice to determine whether the local environment just below the surface of far-northern Mars has ever been favorable for microbial life. Key factors are whether the water ever becomes available as a liquid and whether organic compounds are present that could provide chemical building blocks and energy for life. Phoenix landed on May 25 for a Mars surface mission planned to last for three months.

These color images were acquired by NASA’s Phoenix Mars Lander’s Surface Stereo Imager on the 21st and 25th days of the mission, or Sols 20 and 24 (June 15 and 19, 2008).

These images show sublimation of ice in the trench informally called “Dodo-Goldilocks” over the course of four days.

In the lower left corner of the left image, a group of lumps is visible. In the right image, the lumps have disappeared, similar to the process of evaporation.

The key new evidence is that chunks of bright material exposed by digging on June 15 and still present on June 16 had vaporized by June 19. “This tells us we’ve got water ice within reach of the arm, which means we can continue this investigation with the tools we brought with us,” said Mark Lemmon of Texas A&M University, College Station, lead scientist for Phoenix’s Surface Stereo Imager camera. He said the disappearing chunks could not have been carbon-dioxide ice at the local temperatures because that material would not have been stable for even one day as a solid.

The disappearing chunks were in a trench to the northwest of the lander. A hard material, possibly more ice, but darker than the bright material in the first trench, has been detected in a second trench, to the northeast of the lander. Scientists plan next to have Phoenix collect and analyze surface soil from a third trench near the second one, and later to mechanically probe and sample the hard layer.

What horrors has this two-year-old child seen? And how much does he understand?

His face wracked with sobs as he cries for his mother, tiny Moshe Holtzberg has had a miraculous escape: He was inside the Jewish centre stormed by Islamic militants during last week’s Mumbai attacks.

His rabbi father and mother were both murdered by the militants. Moshe was rushed to safety – drenched in blood – after his nanny found him crying by their bodies.

He only turned two this week. Today he attended the emotionally-charged memorial service for his parents at a Mumbai synagogue before being flown to Israel.

Now he is safe in the care of his mother’s parents – but what effect the trauma of his horrifying ordeal has had on him remains to be seen.

‘I don’t know that he can comprehend or that he will remember seeing his parents shot in cold blood,’ said Robert Katz, a New York-based fund-raiser for an Israeli orphanage founded by the boy’s family.

When the baby emerged with the nanny, he had blood stains on him,’ Benjamin Isaac, secretary of the Indian Jewish Federation, said.

‘Thankfully it wasn’t his blood. But we knew someone’s blood had already been spilled.’

Last Wednesday, two gunmen had stormed the six-storey Nariman House, which housed the centre in Mumbai’s Colaba area.

Loss: Moshe laughs at the camera as he is held by his father arms in this undated photo

The house is at a nondescript address on a small street – but it is close to the plush hotels and railway station which bore the brunt of a string of attacks by the heavily-armed militants.

They took eight people hostage inside Nariman House, including the wife and child of Israeli-born Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, 29.

The young rabbi arrived in Mumbai in 2003 to run a synagogue and Torah classes as part of the worldwide Chabad-Lubavitch Movement.

Moshe’s nanny, Sandra Samuel was on the first floor of the building when the gunmen arrived. She locked herself in a room in a desperate bid to stay alive.

At one point she heard Moshe’s mother Rivkah screaming “Sandra help!” Then the screaming stopped, and it was quiet, Mr Katz said

‘The whole night I heard gunshots and loud blasts,’ she said in a statement to police.

‘Next morning it was quiet for a while, when I heard the baby crying.’

Moshe’s grandmother Yehudit Rosenberg and member of the family’s domestic staff console him during the service today

Samuel quietly unbolted the door, and went up to the second floor where she found Moshe crying, his pants drenched in blood, next to the bodies of his parents.

She picked him up and dashed out through the blood-spattered rooms to safety.

A handyman who worked for the family also managed to escape.

As the siege of the building dragged on, elite commandos were dropped by helicopter onto the roof of the building, the same men who would later blast their way through the centre, ending the stand-off after almost two days of intense fighting.

But by then the militants had killed the remaining hostages, including Holtzberg and his 28-year-old wife, Rivka.

The attack on Nariman House pitched Mumbai’s tiny Jewish community into the the glare of the world’s media and its members say they now feel vulnerable.

Israeli officials say the Chabad centre was targeted for being Jewish. A Los Angeles-based member of the movement said there was no knowledge of specific threats prior to the attacks.

But he said there had since been reports the gunmen had rented an apartment in a nearby building at some stage, something also reported by Indian media without quoting sources.

‘Actually, we have been very concerned for sometime now,’ the Indian Jewish Federation’s Isaac said. ‘We had been expecting something like this.’

For the moment the community’s are thoughts with Moshe.

The toddler has one older sibling who has Tay-Sachs, a genetic disorder particularly prevalent in Jews of Eastern European origin. He is permanently hospitalized in Israel, Katz said. The couple’s first-born child died of Tay-Sachs.

In a sad coincidence, Moshe’s grand-uncle, Rabbi Yitzchak David Grossman is founder of the Migdal Ohr, which says it is Israel’s largest facility for orphaned and disadvantaged children.

The Foreign Ministry said the government would arrange official funeral send representatives to the ceremonies, as it does for victims of attacks at home.

‘There are going to be thousands of people at this funeral,’ said Mr Katz.

‘This couple wasn’t living in the West Bank. They weren’t settlers. They weren’t occupying anyone’s land. They were killed because they were Jews, simple and plain.’

‘The boy’s security is of utmost concern to us,’ said Jonathan Solomon, a prominent community leader.

However the success ratio is very less. Its all because of Scammers. Many people afraid about internet job due to the increase of scammers these days. So what can we do to identify the scammers to get rid off these fears ? That is what we will be discussing here now. I found few websites which acts as a database to gather some review(positive as well as negative) about the Online Job Providers. Simply by giving their web address in the search bar of the webpage we can get the users feedbacks and reviews about them.

Alright, the first Tool we will see here is RipOffReport.com (Dont let them get away with it.. Let the TRUTH be know):

Google is now following the “Wiki way” to allow users, who have logged in their (Google) accounts, customizing search by re-ranking, deleting, adding, and commenting on search results. Here is Google’s demo video:

Cedric Dupont, Product Manager, talked about SearchWiki on official blog:

This new feature is an example of how search is becoming increasingly dynamic, giving people tools that make search even more useful to them in their daily lives. We have been testing bits and pieces of SearchWiki for some time through live experiments, and we incorporated much of our learnings into this release. We are constantly striving to improve our users’ search experience, and this is yet another step along the way.

Users can only see their own re-ranked results, though they are be able to click on a “See all notes for this SearchWiki” link at the bottom of the page to see what search results others in aggregate have changed. Currently, user re-ranking of results has no impact on future or related searches, but if it proves to produce better outcome Google may consider user behavior influencing search results. Why’s not?

Different from other quick-start software that allows users to check mail or play music almost instantly after turning on their computers, Good OS has created “a wrapper that enables you to perform all your major rich-client applications from within the browser,” according to David Liu, Good OS founder and CEO.

Cloud is really a true browser-based operating system which boots into a browser instead a “desktop”.

At first sign, the browser looks suspiciously similar to Google’s Chrome, though no official connection between Google and gOS exists. There is an OS X-like dock at bottom of browser providing quick access to a number of applications like Meebo, YouTube, and some popular Google’s apps. Interestingly, users can also boot to Windows from the dock.

In fact, Cloud OS is a stripped down Linux distro (Ubuntu based) so users can load other apps such as Skype, Media Player and the OS can be installed alongside Windows or another Linux distribution.

Cloud’s footprint is very small, a tiny 35MB. It can boot from a thumb drive or CD and “does not require additional hardware and is compatible with any operating system,” according to company web site.

The BlackBerry is a wireless handheld device introduced in 1999 as a two-way pager. The more commonly known smartphone BlackBerry, which supports push e-mail, mobile telephone, text messaging, internet faxing, web browsing and other wireless information services, was released in 2002. It is an example of a convergent device. Developed by the Canadian company Research In Motion (RIM), it delivers information over the wireless data networks of mobile phone service companies. BlackBerry first made headway in the marketplace by concentrating on e-mail. RIM currently offers BlackBerry e-mail service to non-BlackBerry devices, such as the Palm Treo, through the BlackBerry Connect software. The original BlackBerry device had a monochrome display, but all current models have color displays.

While including PDA applications (address book, calendar, to-do lists, etc.) as well as telephone capabilities on newer models, the BlackBerry is primarily known for its ability to send and receive e-mail wherever it can access a wireless network of certain cellular phone carriers. It has a built-in keyboard, optimized for “thumbing”, the use of only the thumbs to type. System navigation is primarily accomplished by a scroll ball in the middle of the device (older devices used a track wheel on the side). Some models (currently, those manufactured for use with iDEN networks such as Nextel and Telus) also incorporate a PTT (Push-To-Talk) feature, similar to a two-way radio.

Modern BlackBerry handhelds incorporate an ARM 7 or 9 processor, while older BlackBerry 950 and 957 handhelds used Intel 80386 processors. The latest GSM BlackBerry models (8100, 8300 and 8700 series) have an Intel PXA901 312 MHz processor, 64 MB flash memory and 16 MB SDRAM. CDMA BlackBerry smartphones are based on Qualcomm MSM6×00 chipsets which also include the ARM 9-based processor and GSM 900/1800 roaming (as the case with the 8830).The devices are very popular with some businesses, where they are primarily used to provide e-mail access to roaming employees. To fully integrate the BlackBerry into a company’s systems, the installation of BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) is required.
